Easy bedroom makeover ideas

Decorating your space might often feel like a big task, however it doesn’t have to be! Quick and simple makeover ideas are a great way to start the process and won’t have you feeling overwhelmed.

With just a few quick bedroom updates, such as adding some colour, incorporating lighting and storage and of course some fun bedding, you can achieve a total DIY bedroom makeover in minutes – and without breaking the budget!

 

Adding colour:

Depending on your own unique style, there are many ways to add colours to your bedroom.

You could try adding a fresh coat of paint to a feature wall, or the whole room, however this is often expensive and can take a few days for each coat to dry, plus a lot of furniture rearranging.

A quick way to transform any space is to add some mood lighting. If you prefer a medium-dark lit space instead of harsh and bright lighting, there are a few simple ways to achieve this.

By adding a few candles around your space, you can create a warming, relaxing atmosphere. Try and be unique to your style by adding different shaped candles, such as a mix of long taper candles or short, covered candles, or tea lights in holders to create shadows and depth.

If you’re going to be including more colour across the room and in your bedding, make sure there is a colour scheme in mind. This will prevent you from trying to create a rainbow in your room which will often result in a busy theme, rather than the calm theme you desire.
